How do I get started?

Create a free account with email or Google, add your business name and GSTIN (we auto-fetch the details), then import customers and items from Tally or Excel. You can raise your first invoice in minutes.

How do I file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B?

LekhaBooks prepares GSTR-1 and 3B from your invoices and purchases, and reconciles GSTR-2B for ITC. It exports filing-ready files you can upload to the GST portal. GSTR-9 and the notices workflow are included on the Enterprise plan.

Does e-invoicing and e-way bill work automatically?

Yes — on Growth and Enterprise, e-invoice IRN and e-way bills are generated as part of the invoice flow once you enable them in settings.

Can I import my data from Tally or Excel?

You can import customers, items and opening balances from Excel on any plan. Two-way Tally sync is available on the Enterprise plan.

What’s the difference between Starter, Growth and Enterprise?

Free is 10 invoices and 10 custom ledger accounts per month with basic GST. Pro (₹2,000/yr) gives unlimited invoices & accounts plus full GST returns, e-invoice, banking and core books. Business (₹12,000/yr) adds payroll, inventory & manufacturing, fixed assets, projects, multi-entity, marketplace and the full AI suite. See the pricing page.

How do I upgrade or renew?

Go to Settings → Plan in the app, choose Pro or Business and pay securely via UPI, card or net-banking. Billing is annual; a GST invoice is issued for every payment. Questions: support@lekhabooks.in.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. You simply move back within the lower plan’s limits — your invoices, ledgers and reports stay safe and exportable.

I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

On the login page click “Forgot password?”, enter your account email, and we’ll send a 6-digit code to set a new password.

How do I turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)?

In the app, open Settings → Security and enable 2FA with any authenticator app. You’ll get backup codes to store safely.

Can I export all my data?

Yes. Every invoice, customer, ledger entry and report exports to Excel or JSON at any time — no lock-in, no premium-export fee.

Is my data secure?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access, an audit trail and automatic backups. 2FA is available on every plan.

Do you work offline / on mobile?

LekhaBooks is an installable PWA — add it to your home screen on Android, iOS or desktop. It works offline for viewing, and syncs when you’re back online.
